Replacement of a diesel engine turbocharger intercooler at the Nordsee Ost offshore substation

At the substation of RWE Renewables GmbH's Nordsee Ost offshore wind farm, the problem solvers from b.offshore GmbH were once again able to demonstrate their expertise and speed. They carried out the necessary replacement of a diesel engine turbocharger intercooler.

The challenge during the deployment on the platform in the North Sea was the removal and installation of the turbocharger intercooler due to the limited space and high weight. A special cargo transport construction was developed for the conversion, which enables the turbocharger intercooler to be replaced.
