Installation of the access concept for work below the HelWin alpha platform

At the offshore converter station HelWin alpha, b.offshore GmbH has created a new access concept that enables work to be carried out below the platform. The platform operated by TenneT was put into operation in 2015. With their extensive practical experience, the b.offshore specialists have created a way to carry out work below the platform.

Before the actual implementation on the converter platform, b.offshore GmbH first planned an access concept for the underside of the platform. A total of 41 anchor points were welded under the platform and then coated. The grid of anchor points makes it possible to install scaffolding under the platform for inspection work. Industrial climbers can also use this grid of anchor points to inspect the underside of the platform.
