Refurbishment of the seawater system on the BorWin beta completed

b.offshore GmbH has successfully completed the refurbishment of the suction-side part of the seawater cooling system on the offshore converter platform BorWin beta. The operator TenneT TSO GmbH is pleased that the modernisation has increased the delivery capacity of the seawater pumps. This will ensure the removal of excess heat from the central water cooling system in future.

As part of the modernisation, b.offshore GmbH was responsible for surveying, planning, preparing the production documents, procuring materials for production and purchased parts as well as the on-site conversion. The components supplied included the pipework for all cooling water pipes, valves, flanges and sensors. The work covered the entire pipework system. Starting with the intake pipes, which extend far into the North Sea, through to the entry of the pipework into the platform.
