In September 2025, a three-person team from b.offshore GmbH installed several CCTV video surveillance cameras in the outdoor area of an offshore converter platform. First, cables were routed from the interior of the platform to the exterior and the cameras were connected to the cables via distribution boxes.

In February 2025, b.offshore GmbH installed the lightning protection and grounding system for the MLQ accommodation containers on an offshore platform under construction at a shipyard in Spain. During the commissioning phase in the North Sea, a comprehensive visual and metrological inspection of the external and internal lightning protection systems was carried out. The focus was on the metrological inspection of the earthing connections below the accommodation containers and the connection to the structural foundation.

In the first eight months of 2025, our company b.offshore GmbH finished 50 offshore jobs – a record in the company's history. Capacity utilisation is way higher than in recent years, which shows how well we're doing.

b.offshore GmbH has been carrying out the annual inspection of lightning protection systems in accordance with DIN EN 62305-3 for the transmission system operator TenneT since 2024. All converter stations onshore and offshore in the North Sea are subject to a periodic inspection.

The Association of German Lightning Protection Companies (VDB) has honoured b.offshore GmbH with a special award in cooperation with the Aachen/Jülich University of Applied Sciences. The team received the medal of honour for its tireless commitment to further training - a recognition of its dedication, passion and constant desire to develop further.

The corrosion protection on the roofs and the exhaust tract of the diesel generator containers at the DolWin beta offshore converter station operated by TenneT was reconditioned by b.offshore GmbH. Due to the extreme weather conditions on the high seas, maintenance and repair work on the corrosion protection must be carried out at regular intervals.

With its new business premises near the Bremerhaven-Geestemünde motorway junction, b.offshore GmbH is expanding its capacities in the areas of retrofit as well as service and maintenance. In addition to office space, the company now has workshop and storage areas that offer sufficient space to optimise preparations for offshore operations.

b.offshore GmbH can announce the successful installation of an additional protective conduit for new ICCP cables on the jacket of the Arkona-Becken Südost offshore substation in the Baltic Sea, which was completed for RWE Renewables GmbH.

b.offshore GmbH ensured a “good climate” at two offshore substations of RWE Renewables GmbH. In the Amrumbank West and Nordsee Ost wind farms, better accessibility for maintenance and cleaning work was created by retrofitting inspection covers in the ventilation duct network of the HVAC systems.

At the substation of RWE Renewables GmbH's Nordsee Ost offshore wind farm, the problem solvers from b.offshore GmbH were once again able to demonstrate their expertise and speed. They carried out the necessary replacement of a diesel engine turbocharger intercooler.
